Watkins Solicitors is delighted to have successfully completed our latest Lexcel assessment and retained our accreditation from the Law Society.

Lexcel is the Law Society’s recognised practice management standard for law firms, covering important areas including client care, compliance, risk management, information management and the effective management of legal work.

For clients, the accreditation provides an additional level of reassurance that the systems and processes behind the legal advice they receive are being managed to recognised professional standards.

What is Lexcel?

Lexcel is designed specifically for legal practices and looks at how a firm is managed across a wide range of areas that can directly affect the client experience.

This includes how matters are managed, how firms communicate with clients, how information is handled, how risks are identified and managed, and the systems in place to support the delivery of legal services.

Accreditation is not simply achieved once and retained indefinitely. Firms must continue to demonstrate that the required standards are being maintained through ongoing assessment.

Watkins Solicitors’ renewed certificate confirms that the firm remains a Lexcel scheme member recognised by the Law Society of England and Wales.

What does Lexcel accreditation mean for our clients?

Choosing a solicitor often comes at an important, stressful or uncertain time. Clients should be able to feel confident not only in the legal advice they receive, but also in the way their matter is managed from beginning to end.

Lexcel accreditation provides an independent quality assurance around the systems that support that experience, from client care and communication through to risk management, information handling and case management.
