Tickets Now Live for Watkins Solicitors' Fifth Domestic Abuse Conference Bristol

  • Posted

Watkins Solicitors is delighted to announce that tickets are now live for our fifth annual Domestic Abuse Conference Bristol, taking place at The Mount Without on Thursday 12 November 2026.

Over the past five years, the conference has grown into an important opportunity for professionals from across Bristol and beyond to come together, hear different perspectives, share knowledge and consider how we can strengthen the response to domestic abuse.

Last year’s conference sold out, welcoming more than 100 delegates from across legal services, domestic abuse organisations, charities, policing, safeguarding, housing and wider support services, and we are really looking forward to bringing everyone together again this November.

Bringing different perspectives together

Someone affected by abuse may come into contact with solicitors, police, healthcare professionals, housing teams, social workers, schools, charities, local authorities and specialist domestic abuse services, often at incredibly difficult points in their lives.

One of the things we value most about the conference is creating an opportunity for those different professionals to learn from one another, better understand the roles of other services and build connections that can help support people affected by domestic abuse.

This year’s programme will once again combine research, professional expertise and lived experience, exploring a broad range of issues that professionals may encounter within their work.

Our 2026 speakers

Saskia Garner, Suzy Lamplugh Trust, bringing expertise around stalking, risk and the professional response.

Professor Sian Oram, King’s College London, whose internationally recognised research includes the relationship between domestic abuse and mental health.

Michelle John MBE, founder of PEGS, speaking about child-to-parent abuse and the experiences of families seeking support.

Dr Kelly Henderson, Founder and Co-Managing Director of Addressing Domestic Abuse CIC, bringing her specialist experience of housing and domestic abuse.

Two more speakers to be announced!

We will be sharing more about our speakers and individual sessions as the conference approaches.

Who is the conference for?

The conference is designed for anyone whose professional or voluntary work brings them into contact with adults, children or families affected by domestic abuse.

Previous delegates have included solicitors and barristers, domestic abuse support workers, charity and voluntary sector professionals, social workers, NHS and healthcare staff, police and criminal justice professionals, local authority teams, housing professionals, safeguarding staff, educators, family support workers, counsellors and community organisations.

You do not need to work within the legal profession to attend.

We hope the day will provide useful learning for people at all stages of their careers, as well as an opportunity to meet and learn from professionals working in other sectors.

A completely not-for-profit event

The Domestic Abuse Conference Bristol is a completely not-for-profit event, with ticket income going towards the costs of organising and delivering the conference.

We are particularly conscious of the financial pressures facing charities and organisations providing frontline support, which is why we continue to offer a significantly reduced ticket price for charity and support-service professionals.

General admission: £70
Charity and support service ticket: £20

Tickets include access to the full conference programme, lunch and refreshments.

Join us in Bristol this November

We are incredibly pleased to be holding the conference for a fifth year and look forward to another thoughtful and valuable day of learning, discussion and connection.

With last year’s event selling out, we would encourage anyone hoping to join us this November to book their place in advance.
