Watkins has been shortlisted in this year’s Legal & Financial category, which recognises professional services supporting Bristol’s property sector. The winners will be announced at the Bristol Property Awards at Ashton Gate Stadium on Friday 27 November 2026.
Being shortlisted for a third consecutive year makes this recognition especially meaningful, following Watkins Solicitors’ previous Bristol Property Awards shortlists in 2024 and 2025.
Recognising our Conveyancing Team
The Bristol Property Awards judging criteria place particular emphasis on evidence of excellence during the past year, alongside sustained excellence, a distinctive approach and contribution to the local community.
Our Residential Conveyancing Team handles a wide range of transactions, including matters requiring careful legal analysis, practical problem-solving and close communication with clients and other professionals.
Recent examples include stepping in on an urgent property purchase where new solicitors were needed against a very short auction deadline, and successfully progressing a complex shared ownership sale involving bereavement alongside challenging title and lease issues.
While every transaction is different, these cases reflect the approach our team brings to its work every day: clear advice, proactive problem-solving, strong communication and a willingness to work closely with lenders, estate agents and other professionals to keep transactions moving.
The team is also committed to developing junior lawyers, building relationships across Bristol’s property community and making conveyancing easier to understand through practical online information and short-form educational content.

The latest shortlisting follows national recognition for the team in 2025, when Watkins Solicitors was named Conveyancing Firm of the Year – South of England at the LEAP Modern Law Conveyancing Awards.
Our Residential Conveyancing Team is led by Partner and Head of Conveyancing Sophia Ramzan and advises on a wide range of transactions, including property purchases and sales, first-time buyer purchases, leasehold property, shared ownership, new builds, remortgages and transfers of ownership.
Clients are supported by a named lawyer responsible for their matter, with fixed-fee quotations, regular updates and access to our conveyancing app. Watkins Solicitors is also accredited under the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme and holds Lexcel accreditation.
Being shortlisted again is a welcome recognition of the work that takes place across the team every day, from complex legal matters requiring detailed technical advice to helping someone through the practicalities of buying or selling their home.
