On Friday 25 September, the Watkins Solicitors team came together for Macmillan Coffee Morning, with colleagues baking, bringing in cakes and treats and helping to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

There was a brilliant response from across the firm, with Beverley, Emily, Carina, Gina, Issy, Gwen, Dylan, Rebekah, Pauline, Natalie, Aryan and many others contributing to an impressive spread for everyone to enjoy!

It was a lovely excuse to step away from our desks for a little while, catch up with colleagues and, most importantly, support a cause that affects so many people and families.

Macmillan Coffee Morning first began in 1990 and has grown into the charity’s biggest annual fundraising event. Coffee Mornings held across the country help Macmillan support almost 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK. 

Macmillan provides practical, emotional and financial support from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond. The charity is heavily dependent on public fundraising, with donations helping fund services including Macmillan nurses, its Support Line and financial help for people facing the additional costs that can come with a cancer diagnosis.

A brilliant team effort

A big thank you to everyone who baked, bought, organised, donated and, of course, helped eat everything!

Days like this are always a lovely way to bring colleagues together, but they are even better when they can help support such an important cause.
