Watkins Solicitors celebrates 20 years in North Street
Friends, family, staff and colleagues of Watkins Solicitors turned out on Friday to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the firm opening its doors in North Street in Southville, Bristol. A hot summer evening and the front lawn of the beautiful Georgian property at 192 provided a fitting backdrop to the festivities which lasted into the night. Since September 2003, the office at North Street, has provided valuable legal services to the residents of Bristol and beyond.
Prior to the evening Beverley had raided the charity shops of Bristol and Hereford to obtain an eclectic collection of glasses which provided an interesting talking point.
A giant collage of photos from past Watkins Solicitors events also provided some amusement as many people looked so much younger!
Giving a speech at the event, Senior Partner Beverley Watkins said:
"When I set up Watkins Solicitors, I had two very young children and wanted to work in a firm where I could work flexibly and still get them to swimming, gymnastics and all other activities. The only way of doing this seemed to be set up my own firm. I had three aims when setting up the firm;
- To provide a family friendly flexible working firm – something I think we achieved.
- To provide high quality advice to all our clients, whatever their means. I am proud that we continue to have the reputation of going the ‘extra mile’.
- To provide an environment of supportive and excellent training for all members of staff. Again, this is something I think we achieved.
I would like to say a big thank you to all past and current members of staff who have contributed to the firm’s success. We started with just 4 members of staff and we now have 55 and operate from 5 different offices. Here is to the next 20 years!"
Looking forward to the next 20 years of Watkins Solicitors!
