Watkins Solicitors are delighted to share that Theo McGarrigle, who is based at our Bath office, has qualified as a solicitor after completing the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) route.

Theo joined Watkins Solicitors in August 2022 and began his career with the firm as a Paralegal. After gaining experience and developing his interest in family law, he decided to begin the process of qualifying as a solicitor.

Theo qualified through the Solicitors Qualifying Examination route, known as the SQE, which is the new qualification pathway for solicitors in England and Wales.

He passed both stages of the SQE and achieved results in the first quintile for both. This means Theo’s results placed him in the top 20% of candidates, an excellent achievement and a reflection of his hard work, ability and commitment to progressing his legal career.

Theo has wanted to become a solicitor since he was 16. He enjoys working with people and values the personal nature of family law, particularly the opportunity to support clients during important and often difficult moments in their lives.

Now qualified, Theo is looking forward to continuing to build his career in family law, including private law children matters, public law children work and injunction cases.

Theo will continue to support clients from Watkins Solicitors’ Bath office, helping families across Bath and the surrounding areas with clear, practical and supportive legal advice.
