Watkins Solicitors Shortlisted for Three Awards at the Bristol Law Society Awards 2025

  • Posted

Watkins Solicitors are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for three awards at this year’s Bristol Law Society Awards, recognising another year of success, client trust and community impact.

The shortlisting reflects the hard work and dedication of our teams across every department, from family and education law to conveyancing, wills and probate, and the shared values that define our firm: expertise, care and commitment to the people we represent.

Our finalists are:
• Rising Star of the Year – Morgan French
• Team of the Year – Education Team
• Law Firm of the Year (Regional)

These nominations celebrate the commitment and professionalism shown by every member of our team over the past year.

The Education Team have been shortlisted for Team of the Year following a remarkable year of success for families across Bristol, Bath and beyond. Ranked #1 in Education Law nationally and in the South West on ReviewSolicitors, the team achieved a 97% success rate in SEND appeals, helping children who had been out of school for extended periods to access the specialist education and care they need. The team’s advocacy has secured significant placements for children with complex needs and disabilities, working tirelessly to hold local authorities accountable and ensure fair access to education.

Our Rising Star of the Year finalist, Morgan French, has made an outstanding contribution within our Conveyancing Department. Known for her diligence, client care, and proactive approach, Morgan has been instrumental in driving faster completion times and ensuring a smooth experience for buyers and sellers alike. Her shortlisting recognises her professionalism, attention to detail and commitment to excellence.

The firm’s nomination for Law Firm of the Year (Regional) celebrates the collective strength of Watkins Solicitors. This recognition follows a year marked by growth, community engagement, and national recognition, including hosting the third annual Bristol Domestic Abuse Conference and continuing to expand our outreach work with charities such as Next Link, Autism Independence and Bristol Parent Carer Forum. Our multilingual teams and accessible advice have helped break down barriers to justice for clients across the South West.

Managing Partner Beverley Watkins said:

“These nominations reflect the values at the heart of Watkins Solicitors - diligence, compassion and excellence in everything we do. I am incredibly proud of our teams for the dedication and care they provide to our clients, and it is wonderful to see that commitment recognised on a regional stage.”

The winners will be announced on Thursday 6 November 2025 at the Bristol Law Society Awards ceremony.
