The Opportunity: Family Paralegal – Start April/May

Join our dynamic Family Department in Bath with a direct reporting line to Senior Associate/Solicitor Yatin Amin, specializing in care work. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual seeking a challenging yet rewarding role. Full-time position (35 hours/week), Monday to Thursday 9 am to 5 pm, and Friday 8.30 am to 4 pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Initial client calls and general admin duties.
  • Assist fee earners, including documentation preparation and drafting statements.
  • CCMS applications for legal aid and court bundle creation.
  • Liaise with professionals and coordinate appointments for clients.
  • Training provided in Injunctions, Child Public, and Child Private matters.
  • Attend court and conferences with counsel.

Essential Criteria:

  • Law degree or equivalent.
  • Experience with case management systems.
  • High level of written English and organisational skills.
  • "Can do attitude" with initiative.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic IT skills.
  • Commitment to high standards of client care.

Desirable Criteria:

  • LPC completion.
  • Own Transport.
  • Previous experience in family law or legal settings.
