Family / Public Law specialist. Qualified 1999.
Sheldon qualified as a solicitor in 1999. She is an expert in family law. Apart from handling divorce and separation, she specialises in childcare issues, such as child protection, contact, residence and removal of children from the home. In her previous career, Sheldon was a nurse and this background is of immense assistance, particularly with the medical aspects of childcare cases.
Sheldon is a member of The Law Society’s Family Law Panel and a Childcare Representative on its Children Panel. Only solicitors who meet the Law Society’s strict requirements are allowed to join these panels. They must specialise in family law, demonstrate in-depth legal knowledge, and be capable of dealing with clients in a skilful, considerate way.
Sheldon comments, “It’s satisfying seeing the transformation in those who have, with our help, been able to move on with their lives and regain their self-esteem again.”
