Watkins Solicitors Launch Education Law TikTok Channel to Support SEND Families

  • Posted

Watkins Solicitors has launched a new Education Law TikTok channel to answer questions from parents and carers navigating the SEND system.

@watkinssolicitors.sen We are pleased to share that our Education Law TikTok channel is now live! In this first video, Beverley Watkins, Managing Partner at Watkins Solicitors, answers a parent question about late amended EHCPs for September 2025 phase transfer, and what to do if you have already lodged an appeal. In this video, Beverley explains the options available and the steps parents can take next. Questions are read by Sophia Beekmann, Family and Education Solicitor. This channel is here to support SEND parents by answering real questions from parents and carers who are trying to navigate the SEND system, which can often feel overwhelming. Watkins Solicitors are rated number one in the UK on Review Solicitors for Education Law, based on independent client feedback. This reflects our expert Education team’s work supporting families with EHCP assessments, amendments, appeals, phase transfers and related education law issues. If you have a question you would like us to answer, or you need support with an EHCP, you can contact our Education Law team at educationdept@watkinssolicitors.co.uk or call 0117 939 0350 #WatkinsSolicitors @Watkins Solicitors ♬ original sound - Watkins Solicitors - SEND

The channel responds to real concerns raised by families, offering clear, practical guidance on issues such as EHCP assessments, amendments, appeals and phase transfers. Each video focuses on explaining what parents need to know, what options may be available, and when it may be helpful to seek specialist advice.

The first video features Beverley Watkins, Managing Partner at Watkins Solicitors, answering a parent’s question about what to do if a late amended Education, Health and Care Plan is issued for a September 2025 phase transfer, particularly where an appeal has already been lodged. The question is put to Beverley by Sophia Beekmann, Family and Education Solicitor at the firm.

Supporting parents through the SEND system

The Education Law TikTok channel has been created to answer questions from parents and carers who are trying to navigate EHCP assessments, amendments, appeals and phase transfers. For many families, the SEND system can feel confusing, particularly when information is inconsistent or arrives late.

The channel reflects the Education Law team’s ongoing work supporting families across England with all aspects of education law, including EHCP assessments, Annual Reviews, appeals to the SEND Tribunal, phase transfers and challenges where provision is not being delivered.

Recognised expertise in Education Law

Watkins Solicitors’ Education Law team is rated number one in the UK on ReviewSolicitors for Education Law, based on independent client feedback. This recognition reflects the team’s consistent focus on clear advice, strong preparation and practical support for families at every stage of the process.

The launch of the Education Law TikTok channel forms part of the firm’s wider commitment to making specialist legal advice more accessible to families who need it.
