Shaping the Future of Conveyancing: Watkins Solicitors’ Sophia Ramzan, Partner & Head of Conveyancing, Joins National Conveyancing Week Panel
Watkins Solicitors is proud to announce that our Partner and Head of Conveyancing, Sophia Ramzan, will be a featured speaker at National Conveyancing Week 2025, taking part in the ‘Trailblazers in Conveyancing: Women Under 40 Shaping the Future’ panel.
Sophia has built an outstanding reputation in residential property transactions, earning her a Finalist nomination at the Modern Law Conveyancing Awards 2024 (Female Trailblazer category)—a recognition of her expertise, leadership, and contributions to the profession.
Under Sophia’s leadership, the Watkins Solicitors Conveyancing Team has significantly improved transaction timelines and efficiency for our clients. Key initiatives include:
- Proactive title checks carried out as soon as property searches are ordered. This approach has reduced transaction timelines by an average of 4 weeks, a major improvement in a market where transactions can take up to 20 weeks.
- A streamlined post-completion process, ensuring that Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) submissions and Land Registry applications are completed on the same day as completion, cutting delays by 40%.
These innovations have helped Watkins Solicitors build on our strong reputation for fast, transparent, and reliable service.
