Sheldon Price

Partner - Head of International Family Law

Family / Public Law specialist. Qualified 1999.

Sheldon qualified as a solicitor in 1999. She is an expert in family law with a particular specialism in cases with an international element.

As a part of her busy International Family caseload, Sheldon deals with removal from jurisdiction, Hague Convention and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) cases, as well as others. She also has special links with the Bermudian community, having lived there for a number of years. Sheldon is very comfortable dealing with people who may not be fluent in English. Alongside her international clients, Sheldon also manages cases which are concerned with childcare issues, such as child protection, contact, residence and removal of children from the home.

Sheldon is a member of The Law Society's Family Law Panel and a Childcare Representative on its Children Panel. Only solicitors who meet the Law Society's strict requirements are allowed to join these panels. They must specialise in family law, demonstrate in-depth legal knowledge, and be capable of dealing with clients in a skilful, considerate way. Sheldon was a nurse in her previous career, and this background is of immense assistance, particularly with the medical aspects of childcare cases.

A client-focused approach is very important to Sheldon - she provides straightforward and pragmatic advice and conducts most of the advocacy in her cases. Sheldon is well known for working closely with her clients, ensuring that they always know what the next step will be.

Sheldon enjoys reading, travelling, and spending time with her husband and four children in her spare time.
