Progress in becoming a dementia-friendly law firm

We are delighted to have taken further steps to implement our action plan in becoming a dementia-friendly law firm and are now members of the Bristol DAA, South Gloucestershire DAA and Bath DAA (“Dementia Action Alliance”).

We have already run three Dementia Friends sessions that were conducted by Bristol DAA and South Gloucestershire DAA and so far over 70% of our staff, including all customer-facing staff, have chosen to become Dementia Friends. We endeavour to extend this to our Bath office and to increase our commitment over the next 6 months in delivering information sessions from our in-house Dementia Champion.

Congratulations are also in order to our trainee solicitor, Lisa Morgan (pictured above) who has recently become a Dementia Champion having attended the training by the Alzheimer’s Society. As part of our action plan, Lisa will roll out the information sessions in-house to new members of staff as part of their induction, as well as to the wider community.

Additionally, we are pleased to say that Lisa has been accepted as a member of the South Gloucestershire DAA steering group and is looking forward to contributing and working with local members and other businesses in creating a dementia–friendly community.

We are committed in supporting our clients who are living with dementia and other neurological conditions so that they can access our legal services easier and be able to make well-informed decisions.
