Dementia-friendly Bath conference

We were delighted to exhibit at the dementia friendly Bath conference, which was excellently organised by Bath & North East Somerset Dementia Action Alliance (“Bath DAA”) at the Guildhall in Bath on Thursday 7th February 2019. There was laughter, singing, and great dancing!

Over 200 people attended the conference and our stand proved popular with discussions about Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney from our Private Client Solicitor, Lisa Morgan, and paralegal Paige Matthews.Lisa Morgan The conference coincided with B&NES DAA focus “all singing and all dancing with dementia” week of activities and the launch of their 2nd edition of the guide to services in B&NES for people living with dementia, their carers, family and friends. The guide is a directory of services for people diagnosed with dementia including legal services. For further information about Bath DAA please visit their new website at www.dementiafriendlybath.org. The website includes a list of dementia friendly activities and also a digital copy of their guide to services.

The conference hosted inspirational speakers including Dr. Jennifer Bute, the author, and creator of Glorious Opportunity, Councillor Vic Pritchard (Cabinet member, adult care and wellbeing) and Mark Smulian the co-creator of the MindHarp.

Music, singing, and dancing helps people living with dementia feel engaged and improves their quality of life.
