Head of Department / Private Client Solicitor 

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Private Client department for a solicitor with three years or more experience in Private Client to head the department and play a key role in the growth and success of the department. You would be leading a small, established and busy department that is looking to expand.

The Role 

You will be handling a broad base of probate and private client work, including administering estates, drafting wills and powers of attorney, handling tax, trusts and elderly client matters, as well as a range of others. You must have solid knowledge and understanding of probate law. 

Essential Criteria 

• Qualified solicitor, Legal Executive 
• A strong background in private client work
• Excellent client care skills
• A professional telephone manner 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills          
• STEP accreditation an advantage. 

Job Type: full time 35 hours a week, permanent 

COVID precautions: remote interview

Home-based: a possibility, but attendance in the office will be required on a regular basis. 

Location: We would consider applicants who can work at either our Fishponds or Bedminster branch.  

Salary: Dependent upon experience.
