This role focuses on issuing and enforcing small claims. We're committed to continual training and leverage technology to enhance our work.

The Role 

An exciting part-time opportunity (16 hours/week) with the potential for increased hours as the role develops. This role requires someone who can work independently and manage a busy caseload from the outset. Key responsibilities include:

  • Issuing small claims and managing outstanding bills to conclusion.
  • Proactively chasing outstanding client bills via various channels.
  • Addressing client queries on outstanding bills, providing necessary documents.
  • Maintaining billing spreadsheets/reports and collaborating with fee earners.
  • Negotiating with clients in a professional manner.
  • Other debt management/enforcement tasks as instructed.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in credit control and debt collection.
  • Previous hands-on experience in issuing and handling small claims, including all necessary court documentation and processes.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Capable of working independently using own initiative.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic IT skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience with solicitor accounts rules (an advantage).

Location: Initial training at the North Street office. Options for remote, office-based, or hybrid working.

Salary: £23,000 pro-rata per annum.
