Family Solicitor

We are a busy solicitors firm with a number of departments including; Family, Education, Wills and Probate, Employment, Regulatory and Conveyancing departments.

Currently we have two offices in Bristol and one in Bath. The firm has a Legal Aid franchise and carries out work under the Legal Aid scheme as well acting for clients on a private basis. Due to further expansion and an increase in new client inquires several exciting opportunities have arisen within our Family Department. We are seeking to appoint two full time newly qualified or experienced Family Solicitors to join Watkins Solicitors. Neither position will require the solicitor to carry out child care work. The department works as a team. Continual training is very much supported by the firm. The firm embraces new technology to assist with work. The firm is supportive of flexible working.

The firm acts on behalf of a large number of victims of domestic violence, making applications for non-molestation injunctions, dealing with children act applications as well as divorce. The firm is looking for a candidate to Head and manage our busy Domestic Violence unit. This position may suit a newly qualified solicitor or Legal Executive.
The firm is also looking for a candidate to carry out a range of divorce and financial cases as well, if possible child private. Some experience in this area of work is essential.
We are looking for the candidates who have a “can do” attitude, an ability to use their own initiative, is highly organised and is able to manage their own caseload.

Solicitor applicants should have a valid practising certificate.

The salary will be commensurate with experience and qualification.
