FAMILY SOLICITOR

We are a busy firm with a number of departments including; Family, Education, Wills and Probate, Employment, Regulatory and Conveyancing departments.  Currently we have two offices in Bristol and one in Bath. The firm has a Legal Aid franchise and carries out work under the Legal Aid scheme in respect of Family and Judicial Review as well as acting for clients on a private basis.

Due to further expansion and an increase in new client enquires several exciting opportunities have arisen within our Family Department. We are seeking to appoint a full time newly qualified or experienced Family Solicitor to join Watkins Solicitors. The Family department very much works as a team. Continual training is very much supported by the firm. The firm embraces new technology to assist with work.

Good knowledge of family law is required. The successful candidate will carry out a range of family cases, including finance cases, but not including Care cases. Cases will be funded by legal aid and privately funded.

We are looking for the candidates who have a “can do” attitude, an ability to use their own initiative, is highly organised and is able to manage their own caseload.

Due to the current Public Health crisis, the successful candidate would primarily be working from home although the initial induction would probably be undertaken at one of the offices.  Candidates should have a valid practising certificate.

The salary will be highly competitive commensurate with experience and qualification.
