The Opportunity: Full time Accounts Assistant – start April 2026
An exciting opportunity has arisen to be an integral part of our Accounts department. We are recruiting for a full time Accounts Assistant – (35 hours/week); Monday to Thursday 9 am to 5 pm, and Friday 8.30 am to 4 pm based in our North Street Bristol office. After initial training, hybrid working would be considered.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting the team with queries on financial matters such as account postings, bank reconciliation, banking, assisting with conveyancing transactions, purchase ledger transactions, expense claims and petty cash.
- Support in gathering information for reports, reviewing dormant matters and dealing with residual balances and ledger queries.
- General administrative duties to support the Accounts department.
- Handling confidential information in line with the Firm’s data security protocol.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience in an account’s role, with a least one year in a legal setting required.
- Good working knowledge of Solicitor Accounts rules.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess financial data and identify discrepancies.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Strong data entry and numeracy skills with meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial documentation.
- A hardworking, proactive approach will be needed to problem-solve and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Team oriented with a willingness to share knowledge with and support other members of the team.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience with case management systems
