The Opportunity: Full-Time Receptionist
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our existing reception team in the North Street office on a permanent full-time basis. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a key role in representing the firm’s values and ensuring a seamless experience for visitors and callers. This role is full time (35 hours a week), Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. We are looking for someone to start work in January/February 2025.
The main responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Greeting clients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Managing phone calls, emails and directing messages to the appropriate departments on a timely basis.
- Being able to use a case management system.
- Dealing with postal duties (including arranging special and recorded delivery items at the Post Office).
- Supporting administrative tasks as required, such as document filing, photocopying and scanning.
- Any other duties which are compatible with the role as directed by the Practice Manager or the Partners.
The Candidate
We are looking for a highly professional and efficient receptionist who prioritises client confidentiality and discretion. Ideally the candidate will have experience in a legal, medical, or other professional environment.
Essential Criteria
- Administration and reception experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including sensitivity when dealing with vulnerable clients
- Strong organisation skills with meticulous attention to detail, the ability to manage own time and multitask
- Desirable criteria
- Reception experience within a professional services environment, such a law firm
